To provide the basic needs of daily life to the people of Delhi,
Delhi Nagar Nigam was established. The Nagar Nigam is responsible to take care
of the garbage disposal and drainage system of Delhi, and to maintain of the
city’s hygiene. The Municipal Corporation is necessary for major cities like

to live a good life. Under the act of the parliament, Delhi Nagar Nigam was

commercial properties. The taxes on commercial properties are higher than that
of residential properties because commercial properties are used for earning
profit.

collected by the Municipal Corporation. The factors that decide the tax also
include the property’s location, flooring etc. This is because a property with
normal flooring will fetch less revenue in comparison with the property that
has granite or marble floor.
