History and objectives of Aadhar Project India:
The Aadhar Project India was established in February 2009. The aadhaar scheme was implemented by Unique Identification authority of India which is an agency of government of India under the Unique Identification project.
The main objective of aadhar uid project is to provide a unique identity to all the Indian residents.

One third of the total budget has been spent on aadhar project till date.
Former Infosys chief is heading the aadhar project and till date more than 6 crores card have been issued.
Till date the project is not having any legal backing from the parliament.
