Re Enrolment of Aadhar Card

Aadhar Card being the Unique Identification record for every Indian, UIDAI has been doing an aggressive effort to complete the registration and issue of Aadhar numbers to everyone in the country.
However, there are omissions and commissions in the registration process and one who watches the status of Aadhar registration process in the net are likely to see three kinds of status information such as registration is rejected, registration not found and the registration cannot be processed due to technical reasons. In all these cases, one should re-register for aadhar number allotment.

There is however no need for one who had given one’s bio metric details to National Population Register, one need not give again details for aadhar registration. All the others who see their status as ‘cannot be processed due to technical reasons’ must enrol once again.

The reason for this status of this registration for a second time lies in the collected data missing from the records or the data preserved is in a condition that they cannot be used due to encryption errors.
According to the present statistics, there are 1.67 crores of people living in Delhi, of whom 1.37 crores have enrolled for Aadhar. The Government is also very serious about implementing the Aadhar project, for instance, the Delhi Government has already made Aadhar card compulsory for one to avail services in about 20 registration processes, which include property registration and marriage registration.

Who Has to Enrol Again?

Those who are already enrolled, but have not received their Aadhar numbers yet, should look at the Status in the Net, where they will find the status classified in any one of the following reasons:

1.       The registration is rejected
2.       The registration is not found
3.       The registration cannot be processed due to technical reasons.

In all the above three categories, if one had already done the registration before April 2012, then one should re-enrol for allotment of Aadhar number.

Why Aadhar Card is necessary????

A question that often people ask is “Why Adhaar?” The answer is very simple.

There are basically two characteristics that Adhaar has and which is the reason for people to pick Adhaar number:

Universality: This means that over a period of time one can expect all service providers to hold Adhaar number and hence universality.

Entitlement: All Indian citizens are allowed for Adhaar.

Very often people wonder so to why we need an Adhaar Card. However due to its entitlement and universality; it has become an important ID proof that helps the individuals prove their identity.

With nearly 150 crore people living in the villages and cities, India has become one of the populated countries in the world. One of the major challenges that people generally face while migrating from one place to another is with their identity. Though very common, it might surprise you that many people out there in cities and villages of India don’t have a valid proof or passport to prove their identity and nationality.

An astonishing fact that came up recently was that out of 1.2 billion population of our nation, nearly 50 million or to put it simply just 5% hold passport, while only 100 million people possess Pan Card and another 200 million own a driving license. What might surprise you more is that a large section of our population doesn’t even have an ID card.

You won’t realize the importance of an Adhaar card unless you move to a new city. With no identity proof, it becomes very difficult to get LPG connection, new mobile phone connection or an internet connection etc. To put an end to your problems, the government of India has come up with Unique Identity Holding System through the Adhaar Cards. By introducing these cards, the government aims to promote welfare of the population of India.

Usage Of Aadhaar

Adhaar is true to its name. It won’t be wrong in calling Adhaar card the backbone of all actions that require government approval. Adhaar card can even be used to prove one’s identity as per the Government of India.

One can use Adhaar Card to open a bank account in any bank of India. Similarly, in order to take a new gas connection, Adhaar card can be used as an identity proof. Similarly, to take a new gas connection or to make PAN card or Ration Card, multipurpose Adhaar Card can be used. It can also be used to make a new passport.

Online Update or Change

UIDAI has inaugurated the Aadhaar Card service in order to provide the updating of people’s detail at the Service Update Portal to make the things easier. One can now be able to edit their details like change of address, date of birth, gender, or name correction by using this portal. The person should have to login the site by using Aadhaar number and then he or she will receive an OTP at their mobile.

Haryana Govt launches “introduces and verifiers” For Aadhar Cards

Haryana Govt launches “introduces and verifiers” so that everyone in state can have Aadhar Cards
Haryana government started a new policy known as “introducers and verifiers” so that maximum number of people can have their Aadhar cards. The main motive behind it is to target and enroll those people who are not having any proof of address (PoA) or proof of identity (PoI). On May 16, State govt issued these orders and ensures it to get effected till last week.

These orders ensures that introduces will help those residents who are not having any PoA, or PoI and Verifiers will help in verifying documents (PoA, PoI, Date of birth) which are given by the citizens at the enrollment time. This will help those citizens to get their Aadhar Cards.
According to the state registrar, Nambardars and Sarphanchs are going to be introducers and patwaris and gram sachivs to verifiers in rural areas whereas in urban areas introducers are municipal councilors and Government School teachers of either State or Central .i.e. class C and all employees above this grade to be verifiers.

Government also ensures that anyone who wants to be introducer or verifier can apply to their concerned area Deputy Commissioner. After a good scrutiny of the concerned applications, The Deputy Commissioner will forward names to State Registrar who is going to notify each and every person by name.

Till date, around 37% of Haryana People are enrolled for their Aadhar issued by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India).

For assisting this work, Haryana Government chooses four agencies. The main motto of these agencies is to begin enrolments from 1st June at 17 districts in camp mode. All the 17 Deputy Commissioner are going to give sufficient space at e-disha centers or any some other adequate place for setting permanent enrolment centers to the agencies so that maximum public can reach.

For getting maximum enrollment, Haryana government will soon launch an Aadhar card media campaign Mr. Krishna Mohan who is Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner (Revenue and Disaster Management-cum-Registrar UID) said that “By the end of this financial year, we hope to enroll each and every state resident for Aadhar card by the end of this financial year".
