Aadhar Card Centres

There is an Adhar camp list giving details of all aadhar card centres. There are some locations in the Adhar camp list which are yet to be finalized. The work timing at Adhar enrollment camps is 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Mostly camps are open from Monday to Friday that is on all the working days but some are open on weekends too. For enrollments there is no such dead line or last date. So the applicant can visit the camp according to the convenience if there is rush in the camps on any particular day. The government is working to increase the number of camps and provide the updated list of the camps.

Adhar card was earlier known as UID card. This card is issued by the UIDAI to create a unique identity number for all the residents of India.

How to get an Aadhar?

The first step to get an Adhar is enrollment.

Residents who want to get their adhar card have to undergo the adhar enrollment process for which the residents have to visit the nearest aadhar card centre from where token number for the appointment and the application is provided. On the particular appointment day the candidate has to visit the camp again with the required documents. These are Identity proof, address proof; date of birth proof and in case of the children below 5 years relationship proof is required. The required valid data is entered by the operator in the system and the formalities like face photograph capturing, IRIS scanning and finger and thumb printing are completed by the operator. A printed acknowledgement is provided to the resident. After that within two to three months time the resident will get the UID via speed post. How to get an adhar is a very simple procedure.

Aadhar Enrolment Begin In Coimbatore

Are you having Aadhar Number? In case, you are not having, then ensure to get it. This will be considered as mandatory for the purpose of availing various government schemes as well as subsidies and includes cooking gas till October end. Officials working in revenue departments have ensured enrolment camp will be starting in city from May end. There are plans fro implementation of DBT policy and for the ones who are noty having these aadhar cards. In case, if you are not having this number, then pay actual price of gas and that is Rs. 837 for cylinder of 14kg or Pay Rs. 397. It has been promised that the process will be getting completed on time and this has been progressed in the rural areas and more than 60% of population has received this service. This cannot be done without the corporation staff supervision.

In fact, these cards will get issued only on the data as prepared through National Register Population. In 2011 September, enrolment camps UIDAI will be issuing these cards and it got suspended mainly because of objection raised through Home Ministry. UIDAI has been relying on Address proof and ID and this data has been prepared through Census department and they have not considered them. There are certain discrepancies between NPR and UIDAI and then NPR will get to prevail. If you have appears in 2011, then also you need to re-appear in NPR and all the cards that have been availed without the census data will be considered invalid. It is expected that next time, you will not be required to provide the biometric details.

There are fifteen lakks citizens who will be covered in this process and authorities have begun and this also includes providing the training to staff and ensuring its timely completion. K Karpagam revenue District officer have said- rural areas enrollment process will be getting completed in June and there are plans to set up the special camps, in case it gets missed by someone. As per the programme coordinator, people enrolled in the rural area will be getting Aadhar card via post. There are many patrins who believe that there will be a lot of ambiguities in this process and according to the R Raveendran, resident’s secretary Coimbatore Awareness Association are anxious regarding Aadhar enrollment and government will be providing the LPG subsidy in end of year for all Aadhar linked customers. However, people are perplexed regarding NPR and UIDAI enrollments and thereby government should not be hastening the transfers of direct benefits until everyone gets enrolled under this NPR Aadhar scheme. This scheme will be continued till the month of October in the city of Coimbatore and people will be allotted with Aadhar cards.
