Nagar Nigam Hyderabad

Previously called MCH which worked to oversee Hyderabad city's urban planning, current Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) took the charge to look into civic and infrastructure issue of twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad which are the largest in Andhra Pradesh to serve in the capacity of state's capital. GHMC operates in the capacity of maintaining local governance of cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is the geographical area covered under this urban development agency.

Nagar Nigam Hisar


According to the 2011 census of India, the Hisar’s total population is 301,249. The male population of the city is 163,338 while the female population is 137,911. The ratio of female to male sex in the Hisar city is 1000 males per 844 females.

In education sector, the total number of literates in the city is 216,978. The male literate population is 125,172 while the female literate population is 91,806. The average of the literacy rate in the city is 81.04%, which includes the female literacy rate of 75% and male literacy rate of 86.13%.
According to the 2001 Census of India, the total number of children in the age group of 0 to 6 years in the city is 33,514. Out of this total figure 15,499 were girls and 18,015 were boys. The sex ratio in children is 860 girls per 1000 number of boys.
